Worships in Spirit and Truth

..: for he that comes to God must believe that he is (real!), and that he rewards them that diligently seek him.Hebrews 11: 6

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4: 24

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5: 25

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Ephesians 5: 9 -11

Do you have fruit?  ...fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: ... Galatians 5: 22-23

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.1 John 3: 18

Jesus is the True vine, God tends the vine. We are the branches of the vine and bear fruit. Those that don't bear fruit God takes away and those that bear fruit he purges so they may bring forth more fruit John 15: 1

John 14: 26 ...the Holy Ghost, who the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, what ever I have said to you.

John 17: 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, who you have sent.

I have still many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now.  However when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: ... John 16: 12

1 Corinthians 3: 3 For you are still carnal: ... there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are you not carnal, and walk as men?

In vain do they worship God!

Mark 7: 6 ..., This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Mark 7: 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mark 7: 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men...

Mark 7: 9 ..., Full well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.

Mark 7: 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Praying, Giving and Fasting - commandments of God

Matthew 6: 5 And when you pray, you should not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues (church buildings) and in the corners of the streets (TV, books, etc.), that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 6: 6 But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly. Matthew 6: 7-15

Matthew 6: 1 Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 6: 2 Therefore when you do your alms, do not sound a trumpet before you (Okay, everyone time give!) , as the hypocrites do in the synagogues (church buildings) and in the streets (TV, books, etc.), that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6: 3-4

Matthew 6: 16 Moreover when you fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 6: 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;

Matthew 6: 18 That you appear not unto men to fast, but unto your Father which is in secret: and your Father, which sees in secret, shall reward you openly.

Church Leadership and Body of Christ - Warning!

Matthew 23: 15 Woe unto you, (church leaders) scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
